Gr 1-3-George Brown, known for being the class clown, has moved to a new school and is determined to turn over a new leaf. He wants to enter the school spelling bee and get his super burps under control. In the end, George wins the school spelling bee and makes it into the county bee, but along the way he has to contend with Louie the class bully and those awful super burps. Students will enjoy Krulik's simple plot (Grosset, 2012), brief chapters, and George's humorous escapades. Jonathan Todd Ross's evenly paced narration is appropriate, and listeners will laugh out loud at his realistic super burps.-Jessica Gilcreast, McDonough Elementary School, Manchester, NH
